Association & Activities

The department of computer science runs both UG and PG courses. The MCA course ( Approved by AICTE New Delhi ) has been started in the year 2002 and the BCA course has been started in the year 2010. Both the courses are affiliated to MG University, Kottayam. The department conduct lot of activities under the IT association Zeitgeist.

The Computer Applications Association consists of all members of the faculty in the department as well as all students of MCA and BCA. The Association encourages students to prove their worth through the ‘Talent Eve’ in every semester. Designed to instill confidence , to inspire creativity,awareness Zeitgeist  serves as a testimonial of unity among the whole Computer  Applications Department.

Motto is ‘ Inculcate Innovation,competence,confidence and compassion”

• DAKSH – NATIONAL LEVEL intercollegiate IT Fest conducted in the college so that various colleges can take part in lot of IT & non IT related competitions
  Daksh was first started in the year 2009.
• Mindscape – An all Kerala Quiz competition for Degree level students. Mindscape was also started in the year 2009.
• IT Buzz – An all Kerala Genaral IT Quiz competition for the +2 level students. IT Buzz was also started in the year 2009.
• IT Sizzlers – The IT association of the College conducts inter class IT & Non IT related competitions every year to find talents from each class.
