Overview

      B.Com Finance and Taxation stream is an excellent career structured discipline for students .It is most ideal students for students who wish to pursue Chartered Accountancy,Company secretary as well as other financially relevant careers. The college started offering this stream since 2012 and so far has produced 6 batches that shines in MG university results in comparison to other institutions in terms of university ranks and meritorious grade points.The Finance and taxation stream is bestowed with 20 university ranks till the last university result.The placement opportunities embedded with the stream is also well commendable and numerous opportunities are being received by students from top MNCs like Deloite,Cognizant,EY and so on.The wings of job opportunities are also being offered by banking and finance sectors. Since 2015, the college offers two batches of Finance and Taxation stream which open the windows of opportunities for more ones.

 

Admission Procedure

The student seeking admission for the course should submit the Application form duly filled in the college office. The application form can be bought from the college office by paying a fee of Rs.500/-or can be downloaded from the college website.

Duration of the Course

The course shall extend over a period of three academic years consisting of six semesters.

SUMMARY OF UNIVERSITY RESULTS(2012 to  2019)

2012-2015 Batch

2012-15 batch was the first batch of Finance and Taxation and  this batch has marked a history of achievement by securing 100 percent results in MG university examination. Ms.AshaSabu was the topper of the batch with 90 percentage of marks and 15 students scored more than 80 percent.

2013-16 Batch

2013-16 batch recited the story of competitive accomplishments by bagging all the top ranks in University. Mr.Vivek V Vijayan,the topper of the batch with grade point 9.70 has bagged 1^st rank in university.     Ms.Seetha Aley Thomas, Ms.Neema K Mathew, Ms. Nitty susan Mathew, Ms. Sibi Mathew and         Mr. Ashik John Cheeran has bagged 2^nd,3^rd,5^th,7^thand 9^th ranks thereby adding more colours to the achievement. The overall pass percentage was 99 percent and 10 students has scored overall A+ grade.25 Students has scored Overall A grade and thus made the batch to be cited as ‘Green Batch’.

2014-2017 Batch

2014-17  batch was not at all behind in academic accomplishments. 98 percent of the students cleared their graduation with flying colours and the batch was also credited with three university ranks. Mr.Kurian George, Ms. Aiswarya Vinod and Ms.Namitha Bobby has bagged 5^th,7^th and 8^th positions in MG University examinations. Six Students has scored overall A+ grade and 27 students has achieved A grade.

2015-2018 Batch

2015-18 batch has made another feather to the crown of accomplishments by bagging again numerous rank positions including first rank in MG university examinations. Ms.Indhu Bhavana,the topper of the batch with grade point 9.70 has bagged first rank whereas Ms.Rosemary Varghese, Ms.Annaliya Peter,Ms.Uma Manoj and Ms.Anitta Jossy has secured 3rd,4th.5th and 10th positions in University ranking. The year also marked with 98% of graduation. Eight students has secured  overall A+ grade and 23 students has secured overall A grade.

2016-2019 Batch

The saying ‘History Repeats’ is clearly evidenced by 2016-19 batch. The university results were splendid with university ranks including first rank. Ms.AminaT.S.,the topper of the batch with grade point 9.72 has again bagged first rank for the college. Ms.Anju Sebastian ,Ms.Anu Elizabeth Sony,Ms.Neelima Babu,Ms.Kavya Satheesh and Ms.Vishnupriya C.S has secured3^rd,5^th,6^th,7^th and 9^th positions respectively.The year also earned 98% graduation with eight students scoring overall A+ grade and 24 students scoring overall A grade.
